It’s been a long time ago I got to know Anneke Wittermans, almost as long as when I decided to accept her invitation to come dance in Crete. It was a wonderful dance week that I still remember so vividly. It became the beginning of a wonderful relationship with this very dear dancer and a cherished friend.
The dance of my 65th birthday
How wonderful to celebrate my birthday with a dance in the sunshine. On this particular birthday Anneke danced a special dance for me and my family. Very special and we were deeply touched by it. Anneke was there for me on many occasions in which that was important, just like that and even without having to ask. Very precious to have such a person in ones life.
The many happy and memorable moments with this wonderful woman have inspired me to multiple statues, of which you fine one below. I still remember our first dance week vividly.
Anneke inspires many people with her wisdom and dances. I honer and remember Anneke in my own way in the art I created an I hope that in this way it will continue to inspire others. In this way, statues are an artful witness of my life’s history.
Let yourself be inspired
Of course I gladly support her initiatives here too and I hope that it may inspire you.
